Agyemang-Duah crosses the finish line first in the 800-meters in 1:51.33
SAINT LEO, Fla. – Three Saint Leo University track athletes competed on Friday night at the Florida State University Seminole Twilight Invitational at Mike Long Track in Tallahassee.
Herns Agyemang-Duah, competing in his first year of track at any level, continues to impress the track community winning the 800-meter run in a time of 1:51.33. Agyemang-Duah finished just ahead of James Hollingsworth of Queens (N.C.), who took second in a time of 1:51.99, however also broke the tape ahead of numerous Division I track athletes from schools like Clemson, Tulane and North Florida.
Friday nights first place finish, for Agyemang-Duah, is his third first place finish in the 800 since April 12.
The Lions' other two competitors, James Mullin and Carl Dunne, took part in the men's 1,500-meter run, and both found themselves among the top-17 finishers when they crossed the finish line.
Mullin ran the 1,500 in a time of 4:02.09, good enough for a 10th place finish, while Dunne finished 15th in a time of 4:04.94.
