NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division II Men's - National - Poll 5 - October 7, 2014

SAINT LEO, Fla. (October 7, 2014) – Coming off of two Sunshine State Conference victories last week, the Saint Leo men's soccer team finds itself continuing to climb the ladder on the NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA DII Men's Soccer Poll.  This week, the Lions earn their second highest ranking in program history, coming in at No. 3 on the poll release by organization officials, Tuesday.

The Lions earn their third-place ranking, their highest yet this season, with an undefeated record of 6-0-2, and 3-0-0 against Sunshine State Conference opponents.  The Green and Gold earned the nod to climb one spot after defeating then-No. 24 Tampa by a score of 1-0, followed by a 3-2 victory over Florida Tech last week.

Also earning spots on this week's poll are Lynn University, who moves two spots to ninth after checking in at 11th last week, followed by Tampa, who jumps to 21st this week.

Saint Leo continues to hold onto the top spot in the unofficial South Region Poll according to the NSCAA.  Lynn and Tampa take the No. 2 and 3 slots, respectively, while Lee University and Alabama Huntsville come in at No. 4 and 5.

The NSCAA/Continental Tire College Rankings are a week-to-week status of qualified programs and announced on Tuesdays. More information about NSCAA college rankings can be found at NSCAATV's college rankings page.

The Lions return to action on Tuesday, October 6, when they travel to West Palm Beach, Fla. to take on Palm Beach Atlantic in South Region action.  Game time against the Sailfish is slated for 7 p.m.
