No. 7 Women's Tennis Downs Rockhurst, 9-0

SAINT LEO, Fla. – Picking up their first win in the month of March, the seventh-ranked Saint Leo women's tennis team trumped visiting Rockhurst University 9-0 in non-conference action from the Saint Leo Tennis Center on Tuesday evening.

Saint Leo (8-2) swept through doubles as the visiting Hawks made things interesting, claiming at least six points in the first two doubles, but the Lions prevailed to take a 3-0 leads into singles play.

Hitting their stride the Lions dominated singles, not surrendering more than four points to the visitors from Kansas City, Mo.

The Lions have less than 24 hours to ready themselves for Sunshine State Conference play as they face Florida Southern in Lakeland on Wednesday. The match is scheduled to get underway at 3:00 p.m.
