SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo women's tennis team remained unblemished inside Sunshine State Conference play as the 12th-ranked Lions downed No. 18 Florida Tech, 7-2 in action at the Saint Leo Tennis Center on Monday afternoon.
Just 24 hours after their landmark win over No. 4 Lynn University, the Lions (5-1, 2-0 SSC) kept the hot streak going, only seeing losses at No. 1 doubles and singles. Pauline Helgesson, Laura Kemkes, Maria Benkirane, Emily Singleton and Adrianna Daszkiewicz all picked up wins at singles to help the Lions claim the Sunshine State Conference win over the Panthers (3-3, 2-3 SSC).
The Lions now hit the road for three consecutive matches with their first stop in West Palm Beach to face Palm Beach Atlantic on February 23. The match against the Sailfish is scheduled to get underway at 1:00 p.m.
