No. 12 Men's Tennis Falls to No. 3 Lynn, 8-1

SAINT LEO, Fla. – The competition hasn't been any easier for the 12th-ranked Saint Leo men's tennis team as the Lions fell to visiting No. 3 Lynn University in Sunshine State Conference action on Sunday afternoon.

The day's highlight for the fans of the Green and Gold came at No. 3 doubles as the Saint Leo tandem of Bruno Sisti and Matt Nicholson-Lewis defeated Simon Gloeckner and Alessio Iannozzi, 8-5.  It was a win that had the Lions trailing just 2-1 heading into singles competition, but Lynn would run the table on the individual side, claiming the conference win.

With the victory, Lynn moves to 5-0 and 3-0 in the SSC while Saint Leo falls to 3-2 and 0-1 in conference with both of the Lions' losses coming to teams ranked first and third in the nation.

The Lions will look to regroup in less than 24 hours as they face their next SSC opponent when Florida Tech comes into the Saint Leo Tennis Center on Monday afternoon.  The match is scheduled to get underway at 3:00 p.m.
