SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo women's soccer team rebounded from Wednesday's setback in spectacular fashion as Saffron Jordan had the breakout performance of her young collegiate career and the Lions defeated visiting Florida Southern 5-0 in Sunshine State Conference action on Saturday night.

Jordan broke a scoreless tie just before halftime scoring a goal with 37.7 second left in the period.  She then assisted on a goal as the second half had barely started when Ari Foreman caught her cross and slotted home for the 2-0 advantage.

The freshman from Salford, England spun the scoreboard again four minutes later when she squared up a free kick and blasted it into the upper-90 for a 3-0 lead.

In total, she finished the evening with two goals and an assist.

Stephanie Marran got into the action in the 75th minute with a unique goal that started as a cross into the box, but the spin of the ball took it over the goal line but back out just as quick.  The linesman indicated it was a goal and Saint Leo pushed the lead to 4-0.  Finally, the nation's scoring leader, Arielle Kabangu, put her touch on the game in the 80th when she beat Florida Southern keeper Erin Moseley one-on-one to give the Lions the final 5-0 margin.

Abby Evans picked up the win for Saint Leo as she improves to 8-4 making just a single save in the game.  Moseley saw eight shots and made three saves.

The Lions now turn their attention toward a road game with archrival Tampa.  The Lions and Spartans will get things underway at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday night.
