SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo men's tennis team (9-5) improved its record to 9-5 as they shutout the University of Indianapolis, 9-0, Saturday afternoon in non-region action.

Snapping a two-match home losing streak, the Lions surrendered a total of six points in a doubles sweep of the Greyhounds, before handing the visitors six-straight singles losses.

The Lions No.2-flight tandem of Jacobo Gonzalez-Tarrio and Antoine Raffaelli ousted their opponents, 8- 1, while Aloua Adjenak and Victor Lozier bounced Matt Smith and Alex Poe, 8-2. Jake Fleishcer and Jose Morales bookended the doubles portion with an 8-3 win over Trevor Cox and Michael Bradley.

On the singles side, Saint Leo controlled the entirety of the session as they did not drop a set. Adjenak went 6-1, 6-3 over Cox, while No.27 Lozier bounced Caleb Fellers 6-3, 6-4. Gonzalez-Tarrio amassed an impressive 6-1, 6-1 win over Nick Reinhart, Fleischer went 6-2, 6-2 over Smith, and Poe fell at the hands of Tim Balz-Herrmann, 7-6 (6-5), 6-2. Jose Morales put the exclamation point on the match with a dominating 6-1, 6-3 win over Preston Swain.

The Lions will return to action on Friday, March 16, as they host non-region opponent Bentley College. Opening serve is set for 3 p.m.
