HUNSTVILLE, Ala. - For the first time in the 40-plus year history of the program, the Saint Leo men's basketball team has earned a berth in the NCAA Tournament as the Lions are the fifth seed in the South Region portion of the "Big Dance." The NCAA South Region Tournament will be contested at University of Alabama-Huntsville's Spragins Hall in Huntsville, Ala., this weekend. One of just eight teams selected, the Lions (18-11) will face number four seed Florida Tech (22-6) on Saturday, March 10, at 9:30 p.m. EST.
The game will be primarily broadcast on the Rocket Sports and Entertainment Network, which is carried in the University Campus area by Dade City's WDCF at 1350 AM on the radio dial. Rick 'The Rocket' Sassone and 'The Coach' Mike Madagan will have the call starting with the Beef O'Brady's of Dade City Pregame Show 30 minutes prior to tip-off.
