SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo volleyball team will head to the Warden Arena on Saturday afternoon as they continue a tough weekend of Sunshine State Conference competition. After dropping a three-set match to the No. 2 ranked Tampa Spartans on Friday, the Lions will travel to Winter Park to try and rebound against the Rollins Tars.
Led by the senior tandem of Emily Calderon-Reyes and Danielle Bletso, the Lions rank in the top-half of nearly every category in the Sunshine State Conference, and are first in Opponent Hitting Percentage (.097). It is a young squad that has also seen meaningful impacts from freshman Lauren Campbell and Tawni Warren, with both ranking in the top four of the Lions' attackers.
The Tars are coming off a thrilling five-set victory over Eckerd on Wednesday and will look to keep the momentum rolling against the Lions.
Saturday's match gets underway at 4:00 p.m. in Winter Park. A live stream and live stats courtesy of Rollins Athletic Communications will be available at start time.
