SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo men's soccer team looks to rebound from a tough 2-0 defeat at the hands of conference foe Eckerd last Wednesday with a prime regional match-up against the Gulf South's the University of West Florida (4-2-2). Kickoff for the contest is set for Saturday, October 1, at 6:00 p.m. from the UWF Soccer Complex.

The Lions (5-2) used a three-goal outburst en route to blanking the Argonauts in last season's home contest.
The Lions have scored 22 goals compared to the Argonauts 15 so far in 2011, while Saint Leo also holds the edge in goals conceded with 10 compared to West Florida's 14.
Both are also led by a series of five-goal strikers. The Lions run Joel Purkiss and Aaron Gendreau out onto the pitch while the Argos will counter with Dillon Gallet.
McKenzey Scott leads the Lions between the posts, compiling the majority of the time, in addition to maintain a 5-2 record. Meanwhile the Argonauts have yet to find a consistent 'keeper as Ramon Sealy and Stuart McCrory have split time and wins.
West Florida also possesses a five game unbeaten streak, tallying three wins and two ties. Saint Leo, on the other hand, has gone 1-2 over their last three.
