MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Saint Leo men’s tennis team could not get a positive result out of their trip to south Florida as the Lions dropped their second match in as many days as they fell to host Saint Thomas University 8-1 in action at the STU Tennis Facility.
After dropping three close doubles matches, the Lions (3-15) fell in straight sets at every position but No. 5 singles. That fifth spot was where the Lions earned their point as Richard Maclachlan worked his opponent, Federico Acevedo, to a 6-4, 2-6, 10-7 win.
The Lions will return home to the SLU Tennis Center as they host Florida Southern in Sunshine State Conference action on Wednesday, March 31st with a start time scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
