ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. - The Saint Leo men’s tennis team fell to host No. 34 Flagler College 9-0 in the second match of its 2010 spring campaign in a non-conference match Sunday afternoon at the Flagler Tennis Center.
The Lions dropped to 0-2 with their second loss in as many days.
In the biggest matchup of the day, Flagler’s David Cotrone, the sixth-ranked singles player in Division II, posted a 6-0, 6-1 straight sets victory over Pablo Chavez at No. 1 singles. All six singles flights were won by Flagler in straight sets.
Flagler also flexed their muscles in doubles play, winning 8-2, 8-1 and 8-1.
The Lions will travel to Florida Southern on Tuesday for a non-conference match with the Mocs. The match will start in Lakeland at 3:00 p.m.
