Saint Leo was led on the day by DP/1B Ally Maddox (So., Brandon, Fla.) who went a combined 4-for-5 with two RBI, a home run and a pair of doubles.  SS Ali Flynn (Sr., Miami, Fla.) was 3-for-5 with five RBI, two doubles and a run scored, while Hayley Mallory (Sr., Plant City, Fla.) went a combined 4-for-8 with a pair of RBI and a pair of runs scored.

In game one the Lions scored runs in all but one inning, including a four-run fourth inning to guarantee the series win.  Flynn went 1-for-2 with three RBI and a run scored in the opening game, as a total of six SLU players registered at least one RBI in the contest.

Saint Leo also jumped out in front during game two, as the Lions scored four runs in the second.  Maddox led off the inning with a solo home run to open the scoring.  Mallory then delivered an RBI single and Flynn a two-run single to round out the scoring.

The Lions added another run in the third, as Maddox delivered a one out double and then scored on an RBI triple by Heather Stroud (Jr., San Antonio, Fla.).  Stroud finished the weekend series 5-for-10 with five RBI.

Saint Leo will continue its Sunshine State Conference schedule this week with a three-game series at Florida Southern College.  The teams will meet in a single game on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. with a doubleheader at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
