ROME, Ga. – Sophomore Claudia Borbon Roca and Sixth-Year Marta Vicens Miquel represented the Saint Leo University Women's tennis team, competing as Individuals in the annual ITA Cup, hosted by Berry College.
 
Borbon Roca fell in the opening round to Sofia Smagina of Washburn University (6-3, 6-1), while Vicens Miquel cruised to a 6-2, 6-1 win over Lea Cakarevic from the University of Indianapolis.
 
Vicens Miquel will advance to the East Quarterfinal to face the defending #1-ranked player in the South Region in Deniz Khazan from conference rival Barry University.  Borbon Roca will head to another draw, in the West stage, squaring off against Ashley Penshorn from St. Mary's (TX).
