Tancic Finishes 99th out of 244 at NCAA DII National Championships
SPOKANE, Wash. – Concluding her freshman campaign on a high note, Saint Leo women's cross country runner Jelena Tancic finished 99 out of 244 runners at the NCAA Division II National Championship meet, held at the Plante Ferry Sports Complex in Spokane, Wash.
The Erlangen, Germany native finished the 6K course with a time of 22:35.70, a personal second best. Her time was the best out of the Sunshine State Conference runners in attendance, and was second best in the South Region behind Alabama-Huntsville's Vicky Winslow who earned a time of 22:15.20.
Jennifer Agnew of the University of Mary claimed the top individual spot with a time of 20:50.70. Grand Valley State earned the team title, earning a score of 54, beating out Adams State who earned 91 points on the morning.
