Women’s Cross Country Earns Fourth-Place Finish at flrunners.com Meet

TITUSVILLE, Fla. – The Saint Leo women's cross country team earned a fourth-place finish, collecting a total of 105 points at Friday's flrunners.com meet from Chain of Lakes Park. The Lions finished two points behind Palm Beach Atlantic and a top-three finish.

The University of North Florida claimed the top spot, registering 26 points. Jacksonville University finished as the runner-up with 38 points.

Individually, Jacksonville's Joane Pierre earned medalist honors in the 74-person field with a time of 17:35.20. Meanwhile, Saint Leo standout freshman Tereza Novotna was the Lions' top finisher as she concluded the 5K run in fourth-place with an astonishing time of 18:10.80.

Jillian Browne cracked the 20-minute mark for the third time this season as she ran a time of 19:45.40.

The freshman pair of Holly Blackburn and Amanda Leo both finished within 20 minutes. Blackburn set personal-record time of 20:24.20, while Leon finished 10 seconds off of her teammates pace.

Kali Carney and Mariah Moss finished back-to-back as they posted times of 23:03.60 and 24:11.40, respectively.

Elyse Snyder crossed the tape at a time of 24:11.40, and Melissa Goldstein and Mckenzie Kaylor bookended the Lions' team effort with times of 25:36.20 and 25:37.00.
