Volleyball's Sederholm snags SSC Offensive honors

SAINT LEO, Fla. – Junior Britt Sederholm of the Saint Leo volleyball team was named the Sunshine State Conference Offensive Player of the Week for her performances against Barry, Nova Southeastern, and No. 10 Palm Beach Atlantic last week.

The outside hitter averaged 3.82 kills per set on .239 hitting percentage. She also tallied 31 total digs for 2.82 per set.

Against Barry, she led the Lions in kills with 13, while adding 13 digs as well for a double-double. Sederholm added four blocks, four assists, and a service ace to her stat line to help the Lions to a 3-1 win.

In the SSC-clinching win over Nova Southeastern, Sederholm tallied a team-high 14 kills, adding 12 digs for her second double-double. She also dished out two aces and added a block.

Against No. 10 Palm Beach Atlantic, she tallied a team-high 15 kills on an impressive .387 hitting percentage from the outside. She also added six digs and a service ace.

This is Sederholm's first weekly award for her career, and it is the first offensive award for the Lions since the 2013 season.

The Lions find out their NCAA fate on Monday evening at 7 p.m. when the NCAA Selection Show reveals the South Region Bracket.
