SAINT LEO, Fla. – Saint Leo junior Colett Rampf was named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Cross Country/Track Second Team Academic All-America team, when the full list of Academic All-America teams was released Thursday.

Rampf, a now two-time CoSIDA Second Team Academic All-America selection in back-to-back seasons, capped off her junior campaign with a third and seventh place finish at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships at IMG Academy in late May. Rampf set a new personal-best time in the 3000m steeplechase on her way to a third-place finish while she took seventh in the 5000m run.

The Premintz, Germany native, ran the 3000m steeplechase in a time of 10:04.60, which mark the sixth-fastest time in meet history, and posted a time of 16:36.83 in the 5000m run on her way to U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-America honors in both events.

Rampf earned USTFCCCA All-America honors at the 2016 NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships after finishing 14th overall with a time of 20:57.7. She won the 2016 NCAA South Region Cross Country Championship, the second straight year she had accomplished the feat, after crossing the line in 21:54.58 – over 32 seconds ahead of the second-place finisher.

Rampf captured the Sunshine State Conference Cross Country Championship individual title for the third consecutive year and also earned her third straight SSC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Year award.

During the 2016 cross country season, Rampf set new Saint Leo records at the 5K (17:32.04, UF Mountain Dew Invitational) and 6K (20:22.6, Lehigh Paul Short Run) distances.
