Women's tennis takes down PBA, 7-2

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – The Saint Leo Women's Tennis took down Palm Beach Atlantic, 7-2, in comeback fashion as the Lions trailed 2-1 following doubles.

Saint Leo used a sweep of singles to claim the match.

Katherine Zaatini took No. 6's by the score of 6-1, 6-1, while Maja Pindelska added a 6-4, 6-2 win at No. 2's.

Kristyna Jurkova added a 6-1, 6-3 win at No. 3 singles, and Madeleine Gauthier took No. 5's, 6-3, 6-1.

Fabiola Cardenas claimed No. 4 singles with a 6-2, 7-5 win, while Marine Beugre-Guyot added a 6-3, 5-7, 10-8 battle of a win at No. 1.

In doubles, the Lions gained their lone point by the pair of Pindelska and Zaatini at No. 2 doubles by the score of 8-2.  

Saint Leo returns to action on Monday, April 3 for a 3 p.m. match against Florida Tech.
