No. 7 Women’s Tennis Overpowers Visiting Wayne State, 8-1

SAINT LEO, Fla. – The seventh-ranked Saint Leo women's tennis team managed to pick up another victory in the month of March behind an 8-1 win against visiting Wayne State (MI) at the Saint Leo Tennis Center on Friday afternoon.

Picking up win number 10 on the season, the Lions (10-2) swept through singles in straight sets, dominating most of the play.   The Lions only blemish came at No. 2 doubles, but Saint Leo would not be denied another win as they still managed a 2-1 advantage heading into singles play that they pushed into the victory.

The Lions will now have a 12-day layoff before they return to the Saint Leo Tennis Center to face West Chester University. The match is scheduled to get underway at 3:00 p.m.
