SAINT LEO, Fla. – The No.17-ranked Saint Leo women's tennis team (13-4) blanked the Lindenwod University Lions (1-9), 9-0, Saturday afternoon at the Saint Leo Tennis Center. The win ties a season-high four- consecutive wins, and also stands as the third shutout of the campaign.
Saint Leo used a pair of shutouts on the doubles side to cruise to a 3-0 advantage, before blanking the opposing Lions in four-of-six singles matches.
Saint Leo's No.2 and No.3 doubles tandem did not let up a single point in their matches as the teams of Jeannette McDonald and Adrianna Daszkiewicz, in addition to Maria Benkirane and Selma Hidass posted 8-0 shutouts, respectively.
On the singles side, the Lions saw dominating performances out of each of their six competitors with one, three, four, and five singles collecting shutout victories. The region's third-ranked singles player, Laura Kemkes, posted the first of four victories, which were followed by landslides triumphs from Benkirane, Daszkiewicz, and McDonald.
Additionally, Benkirane finished-off the unblemished as she did surrender a single point in two singles matches.

The Lions will return to action on Thursday, March 29, when they host nationally-ranked Florida Southern in a key Sunshine State Conference showdown. Doubles is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m.
