The No. 1 doubles duo of Shaena Keefe and Jeanette McDonald made quick work of their challengers, dropping them by the score of 8-2.

Gina Schifano and Christine Clyne provided a still challenge to the Cobbers’ pair at No. 2 doubles, but it was not enough as Amy Freeman and Mel Gail edged the Leo team, 8-6.

It was the same result at No. 3 doubles as Caroline Ebner and Tamara Bustard built points against Olsen and McGraw, but the Cobbers’ lead was defended pulling away with an 8-4 win.

Down in the match 2-1 going into singles, the Lions soon gained a 4-3 lead after the first four matches. McDonald and Keefe were dominating in their matches, each registering 6-1, 6-0 wins. Following a defeat at No. 3 singles, Schifano turned back Gail at No. 4 singles, 6-3, 6-0.
