Lions Ready to Dive into Dual Meet Action at Tampa

SAINT LEO, Fla. – Both the Saint Leo men's and women's swim teams will look to avenge a last-season loss to Tampa when they take to the starting blocks Saturday morning at the University of Tampa Swimming Complex.

The Lions enter into today's Sunshine State Conference contest after big victories over Florida Tech on November 5.  Both the men's and women's squads are 2-1 on the season, having dropped their opening meet of the season to Nova Southeastern, but bouncing back to defeat Rollins at the Tars' home venue in Winter Park, Fla.

The last time the Lions and Spartans clashed on the pool deck, UT picked up a 112-87 victory over the men, and a 117-68 win over the women.

"It's going to be a challenge, but our kids have been working hard and are up to the task," said head coach Paul Mangen.  "As always, we're going to focus on the improvements we want to make in the pool, and concentrate on making ourselves better."

Tampa is offering live VIDEO COVERAGE of today's dual meet.
