Women's soccer to host ID Showcase in January

SAINT LEO, Fla. - Saint Leo University Head Women's Soccer Coach Ged O'Connor will be hosting the 2017 SLU Women's Soccer ID Showcase on the campus of Saint Leo University on January 7, 2017, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The camp is open to all soccer female players, ages 14-18.

The ID program is designed to showcase potential college soccer players. Competing against other high school soccer players from around the country, the single day event will allow the player to participate and be evaluated by college coaches, in a college environment. All games will be played on University Soccer Field, Saint Leo University's game field.

In addition, at 2:00 p.m., participants will take part in a Q & A with the college coaches in attendance.

• Academic areas of focus
• When/how to start the process
• Playing time
• Academics
• NCAA Clearinghouse/Eligibility

The registration fee is $80 per participant and space is limited to the first 100 players. Lunch will be provided, and athletes are encouraged to bring cleats, shin guards, high school transcripts, test scores and a change of clothes and footwear.
