Women's soccer completes come back at FIT Wednesday night

MELBOURNE, Fla. – Saint Leo women's soccer's all-time leader in goals and points, Arielle Kabangu, added to her total on Wednesday night at Florida Tech as the Lions won 3-2 in come from behind fashion at Rick Stottler Field. The Lions have won five straight games since dropping their season opener to Mississippi College. 

Arielle Kabangu, who entered the game with 55 career goals and 127 career points, added two goals and four points to her career total to extend her lead in the Saint Leo All-Time records as the points and goals leader in Lion history with a total of 57 goals and 131 points. Kabangu sits five goals ahead of soccer alum Casie Poyssick (2003-06), who had 52 career goals, and eight points ahead of Hannah Beard (2006-09), who had 123 points, in the record books.

Katie Waddell joined Kabangu in the scoring column as she notched the game-tying goal in the 79th minute. It was Waddell's second goal of the season. Natalie Melillo, Selena Jaimes and Rakeisha Sealey all tallied assists on the three Lion goals.
