Women's Soccer Hosts NCAA Tournament Opening Rounds

SAINT LEO, Fla. - Finishing their regular season slate ranked sixth in Division II with a record of 15-2-1, the Saint Leo University women's soccer team has received a bid to participate in the 2011 NCAA DII Women's Soccer Tournament.

This marks the fifth time the Lions will take to the pitch in post-season NCAA Tournament action.

The Lions' top-ranking within the region earns them a bye in the First Round, and means the Green and Gold will host the fourth-seeded Florida Tech Panthers and fifth-seeded Lynn University Fighting Knights on Friday, November 11.  Saint Leo will take on the winner of that contest on Sunday, November 13.

Both the matches will kick off at 1 p.m. at the new NCAA game field on the campus of Saint Leo University.
