Short attended Lakeland Christian School, Lakeland HS, and Polk State College…At LCS, Short lettered in soccer five seasons… She helped lead the team to the Class 2A District Championship from 2003-2008…2004 Regional Championship…2004 FHSAA Final Four semifinals…During her tenure, she earned individual accolades including, team MVP, Offensive Player of the Year, and  a trio of All-Country selections…After a year of playing at LHS, Short attended Polk State College where her teamed won the NJCAA Division I National Championship…Her team finished with a 13-2-1 overall record and a first place national ranking…She closed the season as the team assist leader…She played club soccer with RSL and a pair of WPSL teams in Brandon and Clearwater.
