Saint Leo, Fla. (June 24, 2008) – Saint Leo University head women’s soccer coach Ged O’Connor has announced the addition of two new players for the 2008 season.  Coach O’Connor added a pair of attacking players, bringing the total number of new signings for the 2008 season to 10 for the Lions.

The two signings are both transfers with forward Malloree Enoch of Fairview, Ore. joining from Concordia University, while midfielder/forward Courtney Kassab of Pinckney, Mich. will join the Lions after playing at Arkansas State University in 2007.  Both should help add to the Lions attack, which tied for the SSC lead in goals scored with 52 a season ago and led the league with 2.60 goals per game.

Malloree Enoch
5’5”, Sophomore, Forward
Fairview, Ore./Concordia University

Coach O’Connor’s Thoughts: “Malloree is a fast, skillful forward whose experience will be welcomed into the attack for the Lions.  She has a great background and it is clear she knows where the goal is. We are looking forward to Malloree coming into the program and providing leadership and experience for the next three years.”

Courtney Kassab
5’7”, Sophomore, Midfielder/Forward
Pinckney, Mich./Arkansas State Univ.

Coach O’Connor’s Thoughts:  “Courtney is a gifted attacking player who possesses strength and power in both feet. She is a good hold-up player and is strong in the air.  She plays for one of the top club teams in the country in the Michigan Hawks. She has won state, regional and national titles with the Hawks and we hope that experience and winning attitude will carry over into our program for years to come.”
