SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo women's lacrosse team and head coach Lesley Graham rounded out the 2017 roster with the addition of Jill Bontempo, Sydney Drummings, and Erin Davis.

We are excited to welcome these three to the class of 2020 to round out our talented group," Graham said of her final additions. "Each one brings a strong work ethic and drive to help our team excel this year on the field. These three players, along with the addition of our seven early signees, are going to make an immediate impact this fall, and we can't wait to see what they do come spring season."

Drummings is a two-sport athlete from South Plantation High, playing both soccer and lacrosse at SPHS. The 5-foot-11 attackman was part of the 2013 District Championship and was named a team captain in 2015 and 2016. She also played her club ball for Bill O'Connell, father to teammate Lauren O'Connell, and for team Chaos.
"Sydney is a raw talent with height and athleticism that when surrounded by high-level skilled players, she will blossom into an unstoppable threat on offense."

The Lions add a second goalie to the roster joining Rebecca Halley as Davis joins the squad from Ursuline Academy in Wilmington, Del. While at UA, Davis played for US Lacrosse Hall of Fame coach Feffie Barnhill. In her senior season, Davis helped her team to a 9-5 record and an 11-4 record in her junior season.

"Erin is an athletic goalie who will add depth to that position. We are looking forward to her aggressive style of play and quick hands."

Bontempo follows fellow high school and club teammate Bailee Hurd to the Lions following their careers at Matanzas High and with club LaxManiax. The 5-foot-11 native of Palm Coast, Fla., proved to use her athleticism to her advantage being a three-sport athlete in high school for volleyball, lacrosse, and surfing.

"Jillian is exciting to watch as she uses her height and speed to create opportunities on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball.  We are hopeful to utilize her on the draw as well."

Bontempo, Davis, and Drummings join Bailee Hurd, Lauren O'Connell, Lexie Walstad, Sabrina Sanacore, Leah Sherman, Sara Gianino and Delaney Chrisco who all signed with the Lions in the fall.
