SAINT LEO, FLA. - Entering her third season, Saint Leo University head women's lacrosse coach Lesley Graham has released her complete regular season schedule for Lions' upcoming 2014 season. The squad is set to compete in 17 contests throughout the spring season.
Graham has high hopes for the Green and Gold as they achieved their first winning season in 2013 with a record of 8-7. Their schedule shows competition against six of the top-15 teams in the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Division II Coaches Poll.
With a schedule composed of 10 home matches and just seven away contests, the Lions will play eight new teams this season, in addition to 16 south region games, with only one non-region matchup.
"Playing the two time defending national champions, runner up and final four finisher (Post, Limestone, Rollins) is both a challenge and opportunity," said Graham. We want to constantly be pushing ourselves to be better, and by playing the top teams in Division II we are doing just that."
