Trombley Tabbed Assistant Women’s Lacrosse Coach at Saint Leo
SAINT LEO, Fla. – Saint Leo women's lacrosse head coach Lesley Graham has announced the addition of Jennalee Trombley to her first-year coaching staff.
Trombley brings a wealth of lacrosse knowledge to the program, and will prove to be an asset to the program as the Lions enter into their first year of NCAA competition.
A four-year member and two-year captain of the women's lacrosse program at Hofstra University, the Penn Yan, N.Y. native saw time on the field as both a midfielder and defender as a member of the Pride. In her four years, Hofstra was ranked in the NCAA DI Top 20 and was also an Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Association (IWLCA) Merit Squad team, receiving top honors in DI in 2010 and finishing third in in 2009.
Successful both on the field and in the classroom, Trombley was a four-time recipient of the CAA Commissioner's Academic Award, and was given a nod on the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll. Her hard work and dedication in the classroom helped her team garner Merit Squad honors, earning a third place position in 2009 and a No. 1 ranking in 2010.
Trombley brought her talents to Hofstra after a successful career at Penn Yan Academy where she was a four year member of the lacrosse team and guided her squad to a New York State Lacrosse championship in 2004, and section V championships in 2005 and 2006. She was recognized as an Honorable Mention All-American in 2006, was named Academic All-American in 2007, and was an all-league selection.
No stranger to Saint Leo, her younger brother, Ty, currently plays midfield for the Lions on the men's lacrosse team. The Trombley name is synonymous with success in the collegiate lacrosse world. Her older brother Josh played lacrosse at Drexel from 1994-1998, and older sister Jessica played lacrosse at Syracuse from 1999-2003.
A 2011 graduate from Hofstra, Trombley graduated Cum Laude with High Honors with a BS in Biology. She is currently earning her MBA in Healthcare Management at Saint Leo.
