Lions Move Into 5th Place after Two Rounds of the NCAA South Regional

Coors shares 2nd place after starting the day tied for 13th  

SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo University women's golf team shot a second round total of 301 to move into fifth place at the NCAA Division II Women's Golf South/Southeast Super Regional on Monday, at Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club in Dade City. The Lions, who shot a 319 in the opening round on Sunday, finished Monday with a two day total of 620. 

Saint Leo, who is playing in its fourth NCAA Regional in the past five years, will take to the course on Tuesday, May 6 for the final round, with the first of five Lions' players teeing off at 9:40 a.m. 

Marie Coors, who began the day in a tie for 13th place after shooting a 76 on day one, shot a second round total of 71 and is in a four-way tie for second place (147), six shots off the lead. 

Lauren Shuford sits in a tie for 24th with a 155 (81-74) after shooting a second round total of 74, and Clare Connolly is tied for 31st with a two-day total of 157 (80-77). 

Lauren Petty shot a 79 on the second day of competition and is tied for 42nd place (82-79-161). 

Rounding out the Lions' five competitors is Heather Petronis who sits in 49th place (88-91-179).
