Lions Finish Fourth at Lady Buc Invitational

Marie Coors and Lauren Shuford finish in the top 10 

SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo University women's golf team finished in fourth place at the two-day Lady Buc Invitational – hosted by Barry University – at Shula's Golf Club in Miami Lakes, Fla. 

The Lions shot a three-round total of 920 (311-309-300) to finish three strokes behind third place Barry. 

Maria Coors led the Lions with a three-round total of 225 (74-80-71) to finish with a share of sixth place, while Lauren Shuford shot a 226 (75-75-76) to finish one stroke behind her teammate and in a tie for ninth. 

Clare Connolly finished in a tie for 18th shooting a 232 (81-76-75), and Lauren Petty shot a 238 (81-79-78) for a share of 33rd

Heather Petronis rounded out Saint Leo's scoring in the event finishing 54th with a score of 249 (85-79-85). 

Nova Southeastern won the tournament with a three-round total of 904 (294-302-308), and Rollins was three strokes back with shooting a 907 (299-308-300) for the two days. 

Florida Tech rounded out the top five teams with a score of 925 (301-317-307). 

The Lions will get back to action on March 31-April 1 when they take part in the Argonaut Invitational – hosted by the University of West Florida – at Stonebrook Golf Club in Pensacola, Fla.
