Barry led the field with a score of 296 and will head into the final round in first place. Tusculum is in second place with their first round score of 311, and the Lions head into the final round four strokes behind them. Just one stroke behind Saint Leo are Flagler College and Mount Olive, who both turned in a team score of 316.
Leading the Lions was Lauren Petty who fired a 74 and sits in fourth place among the individual leaders. Four strokes behind was Clare Connolly who carded a 78, and two strokes behind her was Heather Petronis with a first round score of 81. Laura Huertas shot an 82, and trailing one stroke behind her with an 83 was Ragna Olafsdottir.
"I felt pretty comfortable with the greens today, which gave me confidence with my putting," Petty said. "It was a pretty slow day out there with lots of waiting so I stayed relaxed and just focused on each shot when it came time to hit."
The Lions get back into action again tomorrow morning for their final round of the fall season.
