LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Rebounding three strokes on the third day of competition to card a nine-over 81, Goeun Lee sits 35th after 54 holes at the 2012 NCAA Division II Women's Golf National Championship. With a three-round total of 29-over 245, she will take to the par-72 6283 yard Persimmon Ridge Golf Course for the final day on Saturday, May 19.
Nova Southeastern still holds onto the first and second spots, with Daniela Ortiz (73-72-79—224) and Abbey Gittings (72-75-78—225) sitting first and second, respectively. The battle for third became a hotly contested position after the third round, with Melanie Audette (Florida Southern), Lilliana Cammisa (Nova Southeastern), Kelly Hartigan (Grand Valley State), and Meghan Moore (UNC-Pembroke) knotted up with a 54 hole total of 12-over 228.
Overall, Nova Southeastern holds onto the top team position after three rounds, bringing in a score of 308-306-315—929. Florida Southern continues to sit in second with a score of 314-315-309—938, and Grand Canyon took sole possession of third with a three day total of 330-322-305--957.
