LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Goeun Lee carded a 12-over 84 in the second round of the 2012 NCAA Division II Women's Golf National Championships, concluding day two in 28th with an overall score of 80-84—164 at the par-72, 6283 yard Persimmon Ridge Golf Course in Louisville, Ky.
Nova Southeastern still holds onto the first and second spots, with Daniela Ortiz (73-72—145) and Abbey Gittings (72-75—147) sitting first and second, respectively. UNC-Pembroke's individual participant Meghan Moore (75-75—150) currently sits third after two rounds of action.
In team competition, Nova Southeastern holds onto the top team position after 36 holes, bringing in a score of 308-306—614. The Sharks are ahead of their competitors by leaps and bounds, with Florida Southern holding onto the second place slot with a score of 314-315—629, and California-PA and Grand Valley State in a tie for third with a score of 71-over 647.
Participating in the tournament as an individual competitor, and the first women's golfer from Saint Leo to earn a trip to nationals, Lee will continue her journey on Friday morning, May 18, when she tees off on the first hole at 8:30 a.m.
