OCALA, Fla. – Despite posting some respectable numbers in their second 18 holes, the Saint Leo women’s golf team slipped to eighth place in the second round of the MSU Spring Invitational hosted by Morehead State University and played at the Juliette Falls Golf Resort in Ocala, Fla.

Again led by Suzanne Ervin, whose second-round 78 has her in 18th place, the Lions shot 320 as a team, trailing tournament leader Stetson University by 40 strokes.  Tricia Maloney still sits in second place on the SLU team and 25th overall with her second-round 79.

Senior Anna Riss is still third on the team and 37th overall with an 82 in the second round as she is now tied with teammate Jordan Hatch.

Goeun Lee currently sits in 47th and is the final SLU team-member on the scoreboard with her second-round 84.

The two SLU individual competitors, Kristina Carvalho and Heather Wengyn sit in 42nd and 49th individually.

The Lions will conclude the tournament on Easter Sunday as they head out to the Juliette Falls Course for the final 18 holes.
