Clyburn Selected to WBCA's "So You Want to be a Coach" Program

SAINT LEO, Fla. – Saint Leo women's basketball senior Elise Clyburn was selected to be a part of the 2013 class of the WBCA's "So You Want to Be a Coach" program, it was announced Thursday. Clyburn was one of just 50 players selected among the plethora of young women around the country that applied for the program.

The "So You Want to Be a Coach" program is a collaborative effort between the Women's Basketball Coaches Association and the NCAA to provide female student-athletes with an experience that becomes the foundation of a successful coaching career.

An experienced group of coaches will serve as resources to the young women as well as provide them with networking opportunities to help try to land them a coaching position.

Clyburn has been a four-year member of the Saint Leo women's basketball program and has played a significant role in this year's team that has set the program record for conference wins in a season. 

The program will be held on Friday, April 5 through Sunday, April 7, 2013 during the WBCA National Convention in New Orleans, La.
