SAINT LEO, Fla. – On Thursday, September 29, the Saint Leo women's basketball took a day off from game-day preparations, and competed in some team bonding competitions around the Saint Leo University campus.

The experience, which has become known as the 'Baller-Olympics', saw the Lions compete in eight designated events around the school. These events included a tee shirt design contest, an egg toss as well as an egg race, a water balloon toss, arm wrestling competitions, Saint Leo crossword puzzles, cracker eating contest, and concluded with a creative fashion show in which competitors were only allowed to use newspapers.

About the excursion, junior Asia Wilson commented, "It was a great way for us to bond, and we enjoyed the experience of competing against each other without a basketball in our hands.  The egg toss was my favorite event because it took a lot of strategy to throw and catch the egg without it breaking!"
