INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – After their 28-3 regular season wrapped up with a Sunshine State Conference regular season championship, the 12th-ranked Saint Leo volleyball team earned their fourth-straight bid to the NCAA South Region Tournament it was announced by the NCAA on Sunday night.
The Lions, the conference’s automatic qualifier, are seeded second in tournament behind top-seed and host Tampa. Saint Leo will face the seventh-seed University of North Alabama (18-13) from the Gulf South Conference on Thursday in the regional quarterfinals. SLU swept their Lion counterparts in an early-season matchup in Pensacola in the UWF Regional Crossover in the beginning of September.
