SAINT LEO, Fla. - The Saint Leo University volleyball team regained its winning form as they defeated Florida Tech 3-1 (25-16, 20-25, 25-17, 25-22) in Sunshine State Conference action on Tuesday evening.

The Lions, who were struggling through a three-game losing streak, needed to have a big night on their home floor and they did, seeing three players hit over .300 and the same three post double-digit kills.  Junior Jenna Jordan was the star again as she posted a double-double with 19 kills, 13 digs and hit at a .375 clip.  She was joined by senior Audrey Starkebaum and sophomore Kaitlin McKenna who both had 12 kills and hit .393 and .333 respectively.

After breezing through Game 1, the Lions were caught off guard in Game Two, where they saw Florida Tech  hit .244 while holding SLU to a lowly .091 attacking average.  The Panthers outplayed the Green and Gold in the set as they posted more kills, digs and blocks on the way to even the score at one set apiece.

After the long interval between sets two and three, fans saw a refocused Saint Leo team take the Bowman Center court.  They showed the Lion fans in attendance why they still managed to hold onto that Top-25 ranking as they blistered the tape with a .393 attack percentage in Game 3 and then blew the doors off with a .429 average in Game 4 to leave no doubt as to the match winner.

Now that they are back on the winning side of the scoreboard, Saint Leo will put their tournament hats on once again as they travel to Valdosta, Ga. to play in the Valdosta State University Invitational this coming weekend.  The Lions will square off against Montevallo on Friday morning at 10:00 a.m.
