Former Ohio Dominican University cross country standout Connor Callahan joined the Saint Leo cross country staff in 2015 as a graduate assistant coach, and will assist in all areas of the programs’ training and race preparation.
Callahan was a four-time Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) All-Academic honoree at Ohio Dominican, where he competed in cross country (2012-14) and track and field (2012-15) for the Panthers. He most recently worked as a director of Race Day Experience for Race Penguin Timing Company from 2014 to 2015, and served an internship in the Ohio Dominican sports information office in Fall 2013.
“Connor adds a tremendous amount of enthusiasm and motivation to the coaching staff. He is a driven coach, with a Midwest background, that will continue to help us build a championship caliber culture. He is a bright and determined young coach that will not only help our athletes excel on the course, but also in the classroom,” said Kent Reiber, Saint Leo’s head men’s and women’s cross country coach.
The Lakeland, Fla., native received his Bachelor of Science in sport management from Ohio Dominican this past May, and will be pursuing his MBA in sport business from Saint Leo concurrent with his coaching duties. Callahan hold USATF Level 1 Coaching Certification (2015).
