Three earn a place on NCAA DII Cross Country Individual Academic Award list

NEW ORLEANS, La. – Saint Leo men's cross country runners Niclas Bez, Rafal Matuszczak, and Adam Urbaniak were named to the NCAA DII Cross Country Individual Academic Award list for the 2016 cross country season by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

The individual All-Academic honor is awarded to those athletes who have compiled a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.25 and finished among the top 30 percent of eligible runners at his or her regional championships and/or the top half of the field at the NCAA Championships.

On the men's side, 269 individuals represented 118 different institutions, with 20 men notching a flawless 4.00 grade point average.

A total of 12 student-athletes were honored from the Sunshine State Conference, and Saint Leo tied with Tampa for the most representatives with three.
