Men's and Women's Cross Country Again Notch Regional Rankings
NEW ORLEANS, La. - The Saint Leo men's and women's cross country teams earned regional recognition on Tuesday as they were regionally ranked in the south region according to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). The men maintained their No. 10 position while the women, previously unranked, rose to the No. 9 position.

After competing in the Sunshine State Conference championships last weekend, the men and women are still waiting to hear whether or not any Lions runners will be selected to run in the regional race. The NCAA Division II Regional Championships for both teams will be held on Saturday, Nov. 3 and Sunday, Nov. 4.

USTFCCCA Regional Cross Country Rankings are determined subjectively by a single member coach in each respective region. The regional representative is tasked with weighing returning team strength with current-season results in determining predicted team finishes at the NCAA Regional Championships.
