Cross Country Runs Embry Riddle Invite; Releases Remainder of Spring Schedule

SAINT LEO, Fla. – Saint Leo men's and women's cross country opened the 2012 spring season by competing at the Embry Riddle 'Last Chance' Invite.  The run saw the women finish tied for sixth-place with Florida Tech, while the men saw multiple runners earn personal best times.

On the women's side, Saint Leo saw Tereza Novotna tally 10 points in the 5K, while Andrea Maxwell compiled six points in 800 meter. Jillian Browne earned three points in the 3000 meters, and the quartet of Maxwell, Browne, Amanda Leon, and Kali Carney posted a three-point day in the 4x400.

On the men's side, Brian Haynes ran a personal-best in the 5K run, while Eric Dirth secured a personal best in the 3K steeple.

In addition, Head Coach Melissa Miller-Mangen released the remainder of her team's spring schedule. The Lions will compete in the UNF Invite on March 2 and 3 at 9 a.m., before taking part in the Disney Invite on Saturday, March 24, at 7:30 a.m., before returning to Jacksonville, Fla. for the second edition of the UNF Invite on Saturday, March 31, at 9 a.m.
