GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Saint Leo senior Niclas Bez competed in the University of Florida's Tom Jones Memorial Invitational on Friday, finishing 17th overall.
Bez clocked a time of 3:56.67 and was eighth out of 11 runners in the second of three heats in the event. His time placed him 17th out of a total of 35 mostly Division I runners who competed in the event. In addition to the host squad from Florida, Auburn, Georgia Tech, and Miami were also represented. The University of Tampa was the only other Division II program entered in the event.
Bez was the lone Saint Leo runner to compete in the Tom Jones Memorial.
