Bez battles in 800m at Florida Pepsi Relays

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Saint Leo men's track senior Niclas Bez posted a time of 1:56.96 in the 800m run against overwhelmingly Division I competition, during Friday's second day of competition at the University of Florida Pepsi Relays at Percy Beard Track.

Bez was one of only four Division II runners in the field of 62 competitors, finishing 60th overall. He was the only Saint Leo competing in Friday's events, and the final Saint Leo athlete slated to compete in the UF Pepsi Relays.

Saint Leo men's and women's track will be idle from competition next weekend, with selected individuals heading to California the following weekend to compete in either the Mt. San Antonio College Relays (Walnut, Calif.) or the Asuza Pacific University Bryan Clay Invitational (Asuza, Calif.).
