Track competes at the 2017 Pepsi Florida Relays

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Saint Leo track team competed at the 2017 Pepsi Florida Relays on Thursday evening, running in both the women's and men's 5000 meter runs.

On the women's side of things, sophomores Alyssa Bayliff and Laura Tobin finished back-to-back in the women's 5000-meter run. Bayliff recorded a mark of 18:11.96, and Tobin followed at 18:13.20. This was Tobin's fastest time of the season by over seven seconds.

Freshman Maria Fernandez also competed in the 5000m but was unable to finish.

Both Anthony Deleva and Chris Cabret also ran the 5000m run on the men's side of the action. Deleva ran a time of 15:23.15, while Cabret crossed the line in a 15:45.94.

On Friday, Niclas Bez will be competing in the men's 800M run. That race is projected to start around 2:40 p.m.
