NCAA DII Regional Rankings

SAINT LEO, Fla. – The third-ranked Saint Leo men's tennis team jumped to No. 3 in the most recent NCAA South Region rankings that were released by the NCAA Men's Tennis Committee on Wednesday afternoon.

The Lions moved up from No. 5 in last week's ranking following their 5-4 win over Sunshine State Conference foe and fellow South Region member Lynn.

West Florida maintained the No. 1 slot, while Barry stayed at No. 2. Saint Leo's jump to No. 3 bumped Valdosta State to No. 4 and Lynn to No. 5. Rollins, North Alabama, Florida Southern, Lee, and Palm Beach Atlantic rounded out the top ten, respectively.

The South Region is poised to be one of the strongest contenders heading toward postseason play as West Florida, Barry, and Saint Leo hold the top three spots, respectively, in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) National Rankings.

The Lions are headed to the Sunshine State Conference Tournament as the No. 2 seed and will take on Florida Tech at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 20 at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla.
