No. 15 Men’s Tennis Benefits from New Regional Rankings

SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo men's tennis team, ranked 15th in the nation, received the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association's regional rankings as the Lions remain fifth in the South Region standings with two individual players earning regional rankings.

Aloua Adjenak leads the individual list for the Lions as he checks in a sixth, behind West Florida's Bruno Savi, who currently leads the region.  Playing every match at No. 1 singles for the Lions, Adjenak is currently 9-3 overall and has won seven straight matches.  Currently ranked 21st individually in the nation, the native of Paris, France moved up to his current ranking after starting the spring ranked eighth in the region.

The Lions' Matt Nicholson-Lewis also earns a regional ranking as he is ranked 11th in the South.  Playing mainly at the No. 3 singles position, Nicholson-Lewis is 11-2 overall and has won eight straight matches.

The Lions will return to the Saint Leo Tennis Center where they will face New York Tech on Saturday.  The match is scheduled to get underway at 11:00 a.m.
